Senior UI Design Instructor

I remember my first design job in 2018 — I thought I knew everything after completing an online course. Reality hit hard when my beautiful mockups fell apart during development, and I had no idea how to fix them. That experience shaped everything about how I teach now.

We don't start with perfect designs in pristine conditions. Instead, you'll work on messy, real-world projects where the brief changes halfway through, the budget gets cut, and the client has strong opinions about comic sans. These challenges might sound frustrating, but they're exactly what you'll face in your career.

My approach focuses on building resilience alongside technical skills. You'll learn to pivot when things don't go according to plan, communicate design decisions clearly, and find creative solutions within tight constraints. By the time you finish our program, you won't just be a designer — you'll be someone who can handle whatever gets thrown at you.

Project-Based Learning

Every lesson connects to a real project you're building. No isolated exercises that you'll never use again. You'll create a complete design system from scratch, including all the documentation and handoff materials that developers actually need.

Peer Review Sessions

Weekly critique sessions where you'll present your work and receive feedback from classmates. These sessions mirror the collaborative environment you'll find in most design teams, helping you develop thick skin and clear communication skills.

Constraint-Driven Design

Learn to create compelling designs within realistic limitations. You'll work with tight budgets, short timelines, accessibility requirements, and technical constraints that force you to think creatively and prioritize effectively.

Data-Informed Decisions

Move beyond personal preference and learn to use analytics, user research, and A/B testing to guide your design choices. You'll discover how to balance creativity with measurable business outcomes.

Hands-On Workshop Environment

Our Taiwan-based studio provides the perfect setting for intensive, collaborative learning. You'll work alongside other designers, share ideas freely, and get immediate feedback on your work. The energy in our workshop space is infectious — students often stay late just because they're excited about what they're creating.

We've equipped our space with industry-standard tools and multiple display setups so you can see how your designs look across different devices and screen sizes. But more importantly, you'll learn to think like a professional designer who considers every aspect of user experience.
